Marie C. Plyter

Marie C. (Mary Kay) Plyter concentrates her practice in the defense of complex medical malpractice matters, representing hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses and all other healthcare staff in a variety of settings. Ms. Plyter draws on her experience in the health care field to dissect the underlying medical issues and develop effective strategies for the defense of the case. In addition, Ms. Plyter represents physicians and registered nurses in licensure defense matters before the various licensing boards and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Plyter was a registered nurse concentrating her practice in surgical critical care. Her 16 years in the nursing field were centered in a variety of healthcare settings, including community hospitals, academic medical centers and long-term care facilities.

Ms. Plyter received her J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law in 2005. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of the State of New York in 1995.

Ms. Plyter joined the firm in 2009 after spending three years at large Philadelphia-based law firm.
