Barbara S. Magers has practiced law for 20 years, representing a broad range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies in complex commercial litigation. She has litigated construction products class actions on behalf of a national building materials manufacturer, multi-district products liability cases on behalf of an international pharmaceutical company, and multi-district ERISA actions on behalf of a national health care benefits provider. Much of Ms. Magers’ current practice focuses on the defense of physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice actions involving catastrophic injuries.

Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Ms. Magers defended a national banking and lending institution and its subsidiaries in a broad range of civil matters in state and federal court, with particular emphasis on defending claims arising under the Uniform Commercial Code, Truth In Lending Act, Mortgage Satisfaction Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Laws. She developed an expertise in negotiating mortgage loan modification agreements on behalf of lenders to resolve litigation under these Acts. Ms. Magers has defended numerous breach of contract, negligence and workers’ compensation cases. Ms. Magers also handles residential real estate matters.
