Jerome E. Bogutz

Jerry Bogutz is a former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association and former President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. His distinguished career spans more than 40 years and many practice areas. He currently divides most of his professional time between coordination of the firm’s professional liability litigation practice and service to non-profit professional and charitable organizations.

Mr. Bogutz has broad trial experience in both civil and criminal practice. He has also devoted a substantial portion of his practice to advising and representing the business community, both for startup and public companies. Mr. Bogutz has also taught clinical trial practice as an adjunct professor of law and has lectured on the drafting of corporate agreements.

Mr. Bogutz has published a number of articles, including articles addressing the law of lawyers’ professional liability. He has also lectured on the subject of professional liability.

Mr. Bogutz continues to devote his time and leadership to the legal community. He is currently President of The Pennsylvania Futures Commission on Justice in the Twenty-First Century, serves on a number of non-profit boards of directors, and is an active emeritus chair on others.
