Cynthia Ruggerio

Cynthia Ruggerio has a broad range of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation involving environmental, toxic tort, and construction defect claims. She has represented insurance carriers in all phases of such litigation on a national and regional basis for several years. Ms. Ruggerio has also negotiated settlement of numerous complex coverage disputes, both as outside coverage counsel and in her prior capacity as in-house counsel. In addition, Ms. Ruggerio has represented clients in direct defense matters, including federal and state environmental regulatory enforcement actions, construction defect actions, and actions involving alleged lead, mold and radon exposure. She has also advised quasi-governmental and non-profit organizations in various matters.

Ms. Ruggerio returned to the firm in 2005 after serving as Issues Manager/Coverage Counsel for construction defect matters with OneBeacon Insurance Group. Between 1991 and 1996, Ms. Ruggerio served as an Account Manager and as the Managing Attorney of the Cherry Hill, New Jersey captive coverage litigation office of the CIGNA Companies, where she also focused on complex environmental and toxic exposure insurance coverage actions.
